There are several Easter eggs in the Netflix fantasy series’ official teaser trailer for the The Witcher. We tell you the short stories in the 8-book sword and sorcery Witcher cannon that were in the trailer. Unlocking the secrets in interviews, the cast list, interviews and the 2019 Comic-Con San Diego Teaser we have a good idea that at least five short stories will be featured. They are from the short story collections
THE LAST WISH and SWORD OF DESTINY. From THE LAST WISH:
“The witcher”
“A question of price”
“The last wish”
and from SWORD OF DESTINY:
“Sword of destiny”
“Something more”
We also discuss how the Witcher season 1 differs from Game of Thrones and the upcoming series Bloodmoon on HBO. Linus Wilson argues that since the book series for the Witcher is completed, it will likely be better than the new Long Night or Blood Moon age of heroes adaptation.
The press release from Neflix PR is below and read in the video:
“Netflix today [July 1, 2019] launched official social handles for highly anticipated new series The Witcher, along with first looks at the three lead characters; Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Cholatra), and Ciri (Freya Allan). Fans can follow official show news on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
Along with first look imagery of cast, fans were shown the first look at the series logo along with the teaser poster.
